Hey guys, I'm torn between the DeWalt DW-PW and the Makita X-Lock series. I do mostly driveway cleaning and some car washing. Any advice on which one is better for heavy use? I've heard good things about both. Thanks!

I've had both. DeWalt has a bit more brute force for tough stains, but Makita's control and build quality are top notch. If you value precision for car detailing, go Makita. For raw power, DeWalt. Also, check the fittings – Makita uses standard ones, DeWalt might need adapters. Just my 2 cents.

I second Sarah. I went with Makita because of the lower noise and better warranty. But Pete, if you're doing heavy driveways daily, DeWalt will save time. I'd say test the trigger and wand feel at a store. Ergonomics matter a lot after an hour!

Thanks both! I think I'm leaning towards DeWalt for the power, but I'll try to get hands-on with both first. Any issues with parts availability for either?

DeWalt parts are easier to find at big box stores, but Makita has great online support. Both are reliable, just avoid the cheap hose kits they sell – upgrade if you can.
