I'm looking to upgrade from my old electric Karcher to a gas one. Stuck between the DeWalt 3400 PSI and the Makita 3700 PSI. Both are around the same price. Anyone have experience with either? I mainly clean driveways, decks, and the occasional car.

I have the DeWalt 3400 and it's been solid for 2 years. Plenty of power for driveways and decks. The Honda engine is easy to start and maintain. Only issue is the hose is a bit short imo.

I'd go Makita all the way. I've had the 3700 for 3 years and it's a beast. Better warranty and the pump is commercial grade. The DeWalt is good but Makita's reliability is top notch. Also the trigger gun on the Makita feels nicer.

Thanks guys! Leaning toward Makita now. Mike, any issues with parts availability? I heard Makita sources some parts internationally.

Nah, never had a problem. I needed a new O-ring once and got it from Amazon in 2 days. Plus their customer service was helpful.
