Hey guys, my gas pressure washer (3 years old) starts fine but stalls as soon as I pull the trigger to spray. It's like it bogs down and dies. Already changed spark plug, air filter, and gas. What am I missing?

Check the unloader valve or the nozzle. If the unloader is stuck or the nozzle is too small, it can cause the pump to overload the engine. Also make sure the water supply is good - if the hose is kinked or the flow is low, it'll stall. Try a different nozzle first.

I agree with Gary. Also check the carburetor - if it sat for a while with old gas, the jets might be gummed up. Clean the carb or run some seafoam through it. Also check the oil level, low oil can trigger a safety shutoff.

Before you spend money on parts, make sure the pump isn't locked up. Take off the spark plug and pull the cord - if it's hard to pull or feels jerky, the pump might be seized. Also check the thermal relief valve if your model has one. If it's stuck open, water just circulates and the engine has no load.

Thanks guys, I'll check the unloader and nozzle first. I did leave it with old gas over winter... Might be the carb. Appreciate the help!
