Hey all, just a friendly reminder after a close call today. Was doing a quick rinse on the patio, no chemicals, just water. Thought I'd be fine with just my glasses. A tiny pebble flew up and hit me right in the eye - luckily no damage, but man, that stung. I'm ordering some proper safety goggles tonight. Don't be like me, wear eye protection EVERY time, even if it's just a 5 minute job.

Good reminder. I learned that lesson the hard way too. Now I always keep a pair of cheap safety glasses in the garage right next to the pressure washer. They're like $3 at Harbor Freight. No excuse not to wear them. Also, gloves are a good idea if you're using any chemicals - those things can burn your skin quicker than you think.

Wow, glad you're okay! I'm pretty new to this, so I appreciate the tip. What about hearing protection? Is it that loud? I've only used mine a couple times and it seemed fine, but I see some folks wearing ear muffs.

Hearing protection is a good call, especially if you're using it for extended periods. The sound can really wear on you. And yeah, eye protection is non-negotiable. I also wear a face shield if I'm doing anything overhead, like cleaning gutters or soffits. Better safe than sorry. And if you're using a surface cleaner, watch your feet - those things can fling debris at your ankles. Closed-toe shoes are a must.
