Anyone else use rotary tools for manscaping? That article got me thinking...

Just saw this article about electric razors and shavers. I mean, I get it, but couldn't you just use a Dremel with a sanding drum? 😂 Joking aside, has anyone here actually tried using a rotary tool for trimming hair? I've used mine with a tile bit for grout and it worked great, but for beard trimming? Seems risky.

LOL Chris, you wild man. I've used my Dremel for nail trimming on dogs (with a special bit), but for humans? No way. The precision is there but the speed control is tricky. One sneeze and you're bald in spots. Better stick to purpose-built tools. But that article does mention some good electric shavers; I like the Braun ones.

I've seen guys use die grinders for shaving in a pinch on job sites, but they were desperate. Personally, I'd never mix my construction tools with grooming. Too much dust and grime. Plus, you need a steady hand. The article is alright, but for a close shave, I'll take my old-school safety razor any day.

Fair points, Sam and Carl. I guess I'll keep my Dremel for cutting and sanding. But hey, if anyone tries it, post pics! Just kidding... mostly. 😉
