Hey everyone, need some advice. My Dremel 4000 just stopped spinning mid-project. It's not making any weird noise, just no movement. Battery? No, it's corded. I've checked the outlet and the power light is on. Any ideas?

First thing, check the brushes. If they're worn, the motor won't get power. Take off the side covers and look at them. Simple fix if that's it. Also, make sure the collet isn't stuck - sometimes the bit gets jammed. Give it a twist by hand.

yeah, check the brushes but also make sure the switch is fully engaging. My old one had a dodgy switch that needed a hard press. And if you've got a multimeter, test the power cord for continuity. Could be a break inside.

Thanks guys, I'll try that. Brushes look fine though. I just opened it up and they've got plenty left. Maybe the switch? I'll try pressing it harder. If that doesn't work, I'll test the cord. Appreciate the help.

If all that fails, might be the armature. But let's hope it's something simple. Let us know what you find!
