Just saw this: ACT Energy buys SB Directional. # Calgary’s ACT Energy acquires Oklahoma directional drilling firm SB Directional
ACT Energy Technologies Ltd., a Calgary-based energy service company, has announced a definitive agreement to acquire...
Anyone got thoughts? Seems like big oil stuff, but I wonder if those directional drills ever trickle down to us DIYers? lol

Directional drilling for a home shop? That'd be overkill man. But the tech is cool – I've seen some guys on YouTube use mini directional rigs for running conduit under driveways. Still, this acquisition is all about oil patch, not our little projects.

I worked on an old oil rig once, those directional drills are monsters. But hey, maybe they'll dump some used equipment at auctions? I'd love to get my hands on a small drill head for hard rock. Probably still outta my budget though.

I just collect tools, not drill oil wells! 😂 But seriously, this is a big move for ACT. SB has some solid tech. Might mean more efficient drilling, which is good for everyone – keeps prices down on the gas that powers our generators!

Yeah, guess I'll stick to my rotary tool for now. But if anyone sees a cheap directional drill on Craigslist, holler! 😉
