Hey everyone, my Dremel 7700 won't charge. The light on the charger stays green even when the battery is dead. I've tried different outlets. Anyone else had this issue or know a cheap fix?

Classic Dremel charger issue. Check the contacts on the charger and battery for dirt/corrosion. Clean with alcohol. If that doesn't work, it's likely a dead battery cell. You can try to revive it by running the tool until dead, then charging again. But honestly, for the price of a new battery, it might be time to upgrade to a newer model.

I'm a Milwaukee guy myself, but I've seen this with Dremels. The chargers are notorious for failing. Before you toss it, check the fuse inside the charger if you're handy. Or just get a new charger – aftermarket ones are cheap. But if you want reliability, switch to a corded rotary tool. No battery drama.

Aye, I've had that happen. Sometimes the battery just needs a full discharge cycle. Pop it in the tool, run it till it stops, then charge. If that fails, it's battery replacement time. Also, make sure the charger isn't plugged into a power strip – some chargers are finicky. Try direct wall outlet. Good luck!

Thanks guys! I cleaned the contacts and tried the discharge trick – no luck. Guess I'll bite the bullet and get a new battery. Appreciate the tips though!
