Hey folks, just a friendly reminder. I was sanding all day yesterday with my new orbital and forgot my ear muffs. By the end of the day I had that ringing in my ears something fierce. Don't be like me, wear your PPE!

Man, I feel ya. I've been there. I usually wear those foam earplugs, they work pretty good. But I'm thinking about upgrading to some bluetooth ear muffs so I can listen to tunes while I sand. Any recommendations?

Ear pro is a must, especially if you're using a random orbital for hours. I've got a pair of 3M WorkTunes, they're great. You can hear your music but also have the sound protection. Just make sure you don't blast it too loud or you'll defeat the purpose.

Thanks for the tip, HammerHank105. I'll check those out. Also, I should've mentioned, if you're doing a lot of sanding, a dust mask is just as important. I know it's not PPE in the traditional sense, but breathing in that fine dust is no joke. I got a respirator recently and it's a game changer.

Good point. I actually just bought a half-face respirator with those pink P100 filters. It's a bit bulky but you get used to it. My sinuses thank me. Hey, do you guys have any tips for keeping the sandpaper from clogging up? That's a whole other battle.
