So I was at a garage sale this morning and saw a barely used Bosch ROS20VS random orbital sander going for 50 bucks. I've been eyeing it for a while but couldn't justify the full price. Grabbed it before anyone else could! Haven't tried it yet, but seems solid. Anyone here use one? Is it as good as they say?

Nice score, Mike! That sander is a workhorse. I've had mine for years on job sites, it takes a beating and keeps going. The hook-and-loop pad is decent, and it's pretty smooth for the price. At $50, that's a steal. Just make sure the dust collection works well with your shop vac, or you'll be eating sawdust.

Lucky! I've been looking for a good sander for my projects. I've heard good things about the Bosch, but I ended up getting a DeWalt for a similar price new. Still, $50 is a bargain. Let us know how it performs once you try it. Maybe do a quick test on some scrap wood and report back?

Will do, Dave! Already loaded some 120 grit on it. Gonna sand down an old table I'm refinishing this weekend. I'll post an update. Also, Sarah, thanks for the tip on the dust collection - I'll hook it up to my vac before I start. Appreciate the feedback!
