Hey everyone, I came across this article about scheduling concrete cutting in Georgia. Sounds like a big job! I've never done concrete cutting myself, but I'm curious what kind of saw you'd use for that. A diamond blade on a circular saw? Or is that a job for a walk-behind saw? Anyone have experience? Yeah, concrete cutting is no joke. I've done a few slabs for patios and driveways. For deep cuts, you definitely want a walk-behind saw with a diamond blade. A circular saw can work for shallow scoring, but it's messy and slow. Also, make sure you mark utilities before cutting! Saw a guy hit a gas line once...not pretty.

I've only cut concrete once with an angle grinder and a diamond wheel, but it took forever and the dust was insane. Would a wet saw be better? I'm guessing that's what pros use to keep dust down. Also, any tips on renting vs buying for a one-time job?

Wet saw is ideal for dust control, yeah. But if you're just doing a small job, a rented walk-behind with a water attachment is the way to go. Buying a good one is expensive, and you'll rarely use it. Also, wear a respirator! Silica dust is no joke.
