So I was at a garage sale today and found a barely used DeWalt 745 table saw for $200. Dude said he used it once for a project and it's been sitting in his garage since. I already have a jobsite saw but it's a piece of junk. Should I scoop this up? Seems too good to pass up.

That's a steal! DeWalt 745 is a solid saw, even if it's not the biggest. $200 is a no-brainer. Just check the fence and make sure the blade is aligned. If it's in good shape, you'll have a reliable saw for years. I've had mine for 5 years and it still cuts true.

Man, I wish I could find deals like that. I've been using a cheap Skil saw and it's okay for basic stuff. But that DeWalt is a big upgrade. Even if it needs a new blade or something, you're still ahead. I say go for it, but maybe test it out if you can.

DeWalt is overrated if you ask me. For that price, you could almost get a new Skil or something with a warranty. But hey, if it works, it works. Just don't expect it to be a SawStop. My old man always said, 'You get what you pay for.' But $200 for a used top-tier saw? That's a good deal, no cap.

Thanks guys! I think I'll go back tomorrow and see if it's still there. I'll give it a good once-over. If it's as good as you say, I'll take it. I've been wanting a better saw for my new workbench project. Appreciate the input!
