Hey guys, just saw a Dewalt 10 inch table saw on sale for $299 at a local store. That's like half price! I've been looking for a decent saw for my workshop. Is this a good deal or is there a catch? It's the DWE7491RS model. Anyone have experience with it?

That's a steal, Felix! The DWE7491RS is a solid saw. I've used it on job sites for years. It's got a rack-and-pinion fence that stays true, and it can rip through 24.5 inches. The only catch might be that it's a jobsite saw, so not as heavy duty as a cabinet saw, but for DIY and even light pro use, it's great. I'd snag it if I were you.

Just a heads up - check the safety features. That model has a blade guard and riving knife, which are crucial. Also, make sure you get a good blade (stock ones can be meh). And remember, always use a push stick for narrow rips. But yes, that price is awesome. I've seen it go for $500+ regularly.

Thanks guys! I'm going to go for it. Hank, you're right, I read the specs and it seems perfect for my garage. Wendy, I'll make sure to pick up a new blade and a push stick. Appreciate the advice!
