Hey all, just wanted to share a reminder after my close call today. Was ripping some oak on my table saw and had a nasty kickback. Luckily I was wearing my safety glasses and a push stick, but the piece hit me square in the chest. Gonna invest in a full face shield and maybe a chainsaw apron. Any other PPE you guys swear by?

Dude, glad you're okay! I always wear a bump cap on top of glasses. And for ripping, I use a microjig splitter and Grr-Ripper push block. Totally changed the game. Also, earplugs are a must - ringing ears suck.

Ive had kickback once and it scared the crap outta me. Since then I religiously use a riving knife and pawls. Also got a pair of cut-resistant gloves for handling sharp blades. Cheap insurance if you ask me.

Good tips Tim and Hank. I already use a riving knife but I think my splitter might be too small. Gotta check that. And yeah, earpro is a good call - I sometimes forget it but my tinnitus reminds me every night.
