Miter saw battery not charging – any ideas?

Hey all, my cordless miter saw (Makita 18V) stopped working mid-cut. The battery won't charge at all – no lights on the charger. I've tried two different batteries, same issue. Any suggestions before I buy a new charger?

Had a similar issue with my DeWalt. Check the charger contacts for corrosion or dirt. Also, make sure the battery is pushed in all the way. Sometimes it's just a loose connection.

Don't rush to buy a new charger. Can you test the batteries on a friend's charger? If they charge, it's the charger. If not, maybe the batteries are dead. Also, check if the charger has a fuse – some do.

Thanks guys. I cleaned the contacts and tried pushing harder – no luck. I'll see if my neighbor has a compatible charger to test. Fingers crossed it's just the charger.
