So I was browsing Craigslist and found a Ridgid R4511 table saw for $150. The guy says it's barely used, just wants it gone. I've been wanting to upgrade from my job site saw for a while. Is this a good deal or should I pass? Any known issues with this model?

That's a steal! The R4511 is a solid hybrid saw. I've had one for years, it's been through hell and back. Just check the fence alignment and make sure the arbor isn't bent. Also, look for any rust on the table. Even if it needs a bit of TLC, $150 is a great price. Go for it!

I'm jealous! I've been looking for a deal like that. Just make sure you have a good blade for it, because the stock one might be dull. And if it has the riving knife, all the better. That's a big upgrade from a job site saw, you'll love the rip capacity.

Thanks guys! I'm gonna go check it out tomorrow. I'll bring a square and a straight edge to check the alignment. Anything else I should look for? And what's a good blade to pair with it? I mostly do rips for shelving and crosscuts for furniture.

For rips and crosscuts, a 50-tooth combo blade is versatile. I like the Diablo or Forrest. And definitely wear ear and eye protection - that thing is a beast. Good luck, and let us know how it goes!
