Just saw this article about scheduling concrete cutting in Georgia. https://example.com Cool to see local services, but is this something a DIYer should even attempt? I've got a cheap angle grinder but no diamond blade. Thoughts?

Concrete cutting is no joke, Rick. I've got a 14" cutoff saw with a diamond blade, and it's still messy and takes practice. For large cuts, I'd call a pro. But for small stuff, a good diamond blade on a grinder can work. Just don't cheap out on the blade.

I've seen too many guys ruin their grinders with concrete dust. If you do it yourself, get a grinder with a dust shroud and hook it to a vac. Your lungs will thank me. Also, check the rebar before you cut, or you'll be there all day.

Honestly, I'd leave it to the pros unless its a small slab. I only use DeWalt tools, and their concrete saws are beastly but pricey. If you're in GA, there's probably good concrete guys, so maybe just hire it out.
