Just saw this article about scheduling concrete cutting in Georgia. Anyone ever deal with this? Seems like a niche service but maybe there's more to it. Link: https://example.com/preparing-to-schedule-georgia-concrete-cutting

I've done some concrete cutting with a demo saw, but that was just for a small patio. For big jobs like highways or foundations, they use those giant walk-behind saws. Georgia has a lot of red clay, which is tough on blades. Make sure they use diamond blades with enough water to cool 'em.

Concrete cutting is all about precision. If you're cutting expansion joints or plumbing chases, even a 1/8" error can cause issues. I'd want to know what saw they're using and if they do dust control. Silica dust is no joke. Also, check if they have permits for road cuts - Georgia DOT is strict.

Good points, Felix and Hank. I didn't even think about the red clay thing. And yeah, safety first with that dust. I guess scheduling is key too - prob need to coordinate with inspections and weather. Anyone know typical costs per linear foot?

Not sure about costs, but I'd guess $10-20 per foot depending on depth and rebar. For a slab on grade, it's cheaper than a wall. Always get multiple quotes though, and ask about blade sharpening charges. Some contractors charge extra for that.
