Just saw this article about 12 gadgets for handymen. Some of them look gimmicky, but a few caught my eye. Anyone use the auto-hammer or the pocket screwdriver? I'm curious if they're worth the money. Here's the link: [URL]

I tried the pocket screwdriver a few months back. It's handy for small adjustments but don't expect it to replace a full driver set. The bit storage is nice though. The auto-hammer I've seen reviews - seems like a novelty, better off with a proper nail gun.

I'm eyeing that vibration-dampening hammer. My wrists hate me after a long day framing. Anyone know if it actually works? Also, that laser distance measurer is a must-have for rough-in work.

Good to know about the pocket screwdriver - might pick one up for my tool belt. Bob, I've got the laser measurer, it's accurate and saves time. The hammer though, I'd try before buy, they can be awkward.

Agree with DrillMaster. The laser is solid. For the hammer, I tried one at a tool show, felt weird in the hand. Still, some guys swear by them.
