Hey everyone, just a quick reminder: always use eye protection when using screwdrivers! I learned the hard way when a flathead slipped and whacked me in the face. Anyone else have close calls?

Good point! I usually wear gloves too, especially with those old rusty ones. But I'm guilty of skipping glasses sometimes 😬

Glad you brought this up. I've been turning screws for 30 years and still get complacent. A little flying metal can do serious damage. Also, make sure your screwdriver tips are sharp - less likely to slip.

I always wear safety glasses, but never thought about gloves. Might pick up a pair. Anyone recommend a good type? I like the ones with grip for turning.

@BuildItBob867 I use mechanix gloves, they have good dexterity and grip. Not too bulky for precise work.
