Hey everyone, just a quick reminder after a close call I had yesterday. I was using a flathead screwdriver to pry something (I know, not the right tool, my bad), and it slipped and shot up towards my face. Luckily I had safety glasses on, but it scared the crap out of me. Just a friendly reminder to always wear eye protection when working with screwdrivers, even for simple tasks. You never know when it's gonna slip!

Glad you're ok! That's a classic accident. I've seen too many near misses on job sites. Even though screwdrivers are 'low speed', they can still cause serious eye injuries. Also, make sure you're using the right type and size of screwdriver for the job - using it as a pry bar is a big no-no. That's how accidents happen. And always, ALWAYS wear safety glasses. They're cheap insurance for your vision.

Great tip, Tim! I once had a screwdriver slip and stab my palm, right through my work glove. Not as bad as an eye injury, but it taught me a lesson. Now I always use a screwdriver with a cushioned grip and a hex bolster – you can put a wrench on it if you need extra torque, but at least it won't slip as easily. Plus, I never use a screwdriver as a chisel or pry bar anymore. Safety first, folks!

Thanks for the feedback guys. Yeah, I'm definitely investing in some better screwdrivers with a more aggressive tip. And I'll stick to using the right tool for prying from now on! Stay safe out there!
