Stumbled across a Wera Kraftform Kompakt 27 piece set for $40 at a pawn shop. Looks barely used. I'm more of a DeWalt guy myself, but that seems like a steal? Anyone used these? I do a mix of framing and finish work, need something that'll hold up.

Man, $40 for that set is a no-brainer! I've got the Wera Kraftform micro set for electronics and the fit and finish is insane. Those laser-tip blades grip like crazy, almost no cam-out. But for construction? They might be a bit delicate for heavy torque. Still, at that price, grab 'em for precision work.

I've been using Wera screwdrivers for 20 years. The Craftform handles are the most comfortable I've ever used. That kit should cover most household and DIY stuff. For framing, you'll still want a beater screwdriver for prying and such, but for driving screws? They're superb. Buy it!

Wera? Overpriced German hype if you ask me. I stick with Snap-on or Proto for pro use. But for $40? That's a good deal for a homeowner. Just don't expect them to survive a job site. My experience: the tips wear fast if you're constantly driving into hardwood.

Thanks guys! I grabbed the set. Felix, I hear you on the precision - I'll keep my beaters for the rough stuff. Gary, that handle comfort sold me. Carl, I'll keep an eye on the tips but for $40 vs $200+ for Snap-on, I'll take the risk. Appreciate the input!
