Harbor Freight 50% off - Worth it?

Hey guys, saw this HF coupon deal. Up to 50% off some stuff, shipping is $6.99. I'm thinking about grabbing a few screwdrivers, maybe their Pittsburgh set. Anyone tried them? Worth the hype or just junk?

I'd be careful. HF's screwdrivers are hit or miss. The Pittsburgh Pro ones are ok for light use, but I've seen tips snap on the cheap ones. For 50% off, might be worth a shot for a backup set, but don't expect Craftsman quality. Also, check the coupon fine print - some items are excluded.

I'm all about saving a buck, but for screwdrivers, I'd rather spend a bit more on something that won't strip. HF's stuff is fine for occasional use around the house, but if you're using it daily, invest in some Weras or PB Swiss. That said, their cheap 10-in-1 multi-bit is actually decent for the price.

Good point Carl. I'm just a hobbyist, so I don't need pro tools. Maybe I'll grab a set for the garage and keep my good ones in the shop. Thanks for the heads up on the fine print, I'll double-check.
