Hey all, I just got a new 18V brushless drill, and it keeps stalling when I try to drill into wood. Battery is fully charged. Any ideas?

What model is it? Could be the clutch setting or the speed selector. Make sure you're not in screwdriver mode. Also, check if the chuck is tightened properly.

I had a similar issue with my last drill. Turned out the battery contacts were dirty. Try cleaning them with a pencil eraser. Might help!

Another thing: Are you using a dull bit? Could be that. Also, check if the drill is in reverse by accident. It happens to the best of us.

Thanks guys! It was the clutch setting – it was on 1 for screws. Switched to drill mode and it works perfect now. Appreciate the help!
