Hey guys, just got a new cordless drill (18V) and the battery won't charge. The charger light blinks red and green, and it never goes solid. I've tried reseating it, cleaning contacts, even left it overnight. Any ideas?

Check if the battery is too hot or cold. Sometimes they won't charge if temp is out of range. Also, if it's brand new, maybe it's a dud. Try another battery if you have one. Else, contact manufacturer.

Blinking red/green often means a communication error between battery and charger. Could be a firmware thing. Try holding the power button on the battery for 10 seconds to reset it. Worked for me.

Safety first! Make sure you're using the correct charger for that battery. Mixing chargers can cause issues. Also, inspect the contacts for any debris or corrosion. If still not working, it's under warranty, so don't void it by opening the battery.
