Hey all, just a friendly reminder to wear your safety glasses. I was cutting some treated lumber with a circular saw today and a knot flew right at my face. The glasses saved my eye. I always use the cheapo ones from the hardware store but they do the job. Anyone have recommendations for anti-fog ones?

Good call Chris! I learned that lesson the hard way with a grinder. Those cheap ones work but they scratch easy. I switched to some 3M ones that are comfortable and have a rubber seal. Also, always keep your face shield handy for grinding or chiseling.

Yeah, eye pro is non-negotiable. I also wear ear plugs when running my planer. Tinnitus ain't fun. For anti-fog, try the wipes or just spit on 'em like a old timer lol. But seriously, get some mips helmets if you're doing any overhead work.

Mips for power tools? Hank you're hardcore! I just wear a bump cap sometimes. Thanks for the 3M tip Larry, I'll check those out. Also, for ear pro I use the ear muffs that have a radio built in, helps pass the time.

Right on Chris. Another tip: always inspect your PPE before use. I had a old harness strap snap on me once, lucky I wasn't up high. Stay safe out there!
