Was using my oscillating multitool to cut a notch in a steel stud. Forgot to grab my safety glasses since it was a 'quick' cut. The blade snagged and a piece of metal flew right past my eye. Never again. Don't be me - always wear proper PPE.

Oof man that's scary! I insit on wearing safety glasses even when just measuring. My grandfather lost an eye to a rusty nail. I only trust the Milwuakee safety glasses - they're ANSI rated and don't fog up as bad as others.

Wendy's right about good gear. I use the 3M clear anti-fog ones. They're cheap and work great. Also - don't forget hearing protection! Those multitools are louder than you think. I use Etymotic ear plugs you can still hear conversation but it lowers the dB.

Honestly I've been guilty of skipping glasses on 'small' jobs too. This is a wakeup call. I'm ordering a 12 pack of safety glasses from Amazon right now to stash in every tool bag and work area. Also Paul - glad you still have both eyes bro!
