Just saw this article about Oil-Dri's Q2 revenues being the highest ever. They make those kitty litter absorbents and stuff, but I know some folks use their products for oil spills in the garage. Anyone think this affects us? Maybe prices going up?

I saw that too. Honestly, record revenues usually mean they're selling more, not necessarily raising prices. But with inflation and supply chain issues, who knows. I use their absorbent for cleaning up after wiring jobs, it's great for soaking up oil from old transformers. If prices go up, I might switch to generic.

I don't use their stuff much, but I've seen it at the big box stores. My concern is more about the raw materials - if they're making more, they need more clay, which could mean more mining, which might affect the environment. Not trying to be a granola, but it's something to think about. As for DIY, I'll stick with my old rags.

Haha, Larry, you sound like my wife. But seriously, I've used their absorbent for years in the shop. It's top-notch for containing spills from my miter saw oil. Record revenues just means they're doing something right. I'll keep buying it unless the price gets ridiculous. Maybe they'll invest in better packaging - the bag rips too easy.
