Just picked up a barely used Festool TS 55 REQ with two rails and a systainer for $450 off Facebook Marketplace. Seems too good to be true but the guy had receipts and it looks clean. Anyone have experience with this saw? Is it worth keeping or should i flip it? Thinking about trying it on some plywood cuts this weekend.

Nice find! That's a steal if it's legit. I've got the same model and it's a beast for sheet goods. The plunge mechanism is smooth and the dust collection is top notch. Keep it, you won't regret it. Just make sure the rails aren't bent and the blade isn't dull. Check the arbor lock too.

I'm jellous! I've been eyeing that saw but can't justify the price. For $450 it's a no-brainer. Even if u don't love it, resale is still high. I'd say keep it and see how u like it. Track saws are game changers for straight cuts. Let us know how it works out!

Thanks guys! I'll give it a test run this weekend. Rails look good, no nicks. Fired it up and it sounds smooth. Any tips for a first time track saw user? I'm used to a circular saw and a guide.

Biggest tip: let the saw do the work, don't force it. Also, use the splinter guard on the rail for cleaner cuts. Make sure the rail is clamped down well. And always check the depth setting before cutting. You'll pick it up quick. Enjoy!
