Any thoughts on that 'non-power tool' garage list?

Just saw this article and it got me thinking. # 5 Things Every Mechanic Will Want In Their Garage That Aren't Power Tools - what do you guys think? I've got a few of these already but always looking for new ideas. My old man swears by a good set of pry bars, but I'm curious what you all find essential.

I haven't read the article yet, but I can guess. Good lighting is a must - I've got one of those LED work lights and it's a game changer. Also, a good stool on wheels saves my back. What's on the list?

I skimmed it. It mentioned things like a portable workbench, magnetic parts trays, and a good vise. But I think the best non-power tool is a quality torque wrench - you can't beat that for peace of mind. Also, a good shop vac is underrated.

I'd add a good set of picks and a mirror for those hard-to-reach places. And a decent creeper - not the cheap ones. I've had my fair share of sore ribs from cheap casters. Also, a fire extinguisher is something nobody thinks about until it's too late.

Yeah, the article listed a creeper, a bench grinder (but that's power, hmm), a parts washer, a shop press, and a transmission jack. I was like, 'who has room for all that?' I agree on the fire extinguisher, Chris. I have one mounted by the door. #SafetyFirst
