Hey all, just saw this 32-piece combo wrench set from HarborPro Tools on sale for $49.99 at my local hardware store. Normally goes for like $120! The finish looks decent and they claim it's forged steel. Anyone have experience with this brand? I'm tempted but don't wanna waste money on junk that'll strip bolts.

Rick, I'd be careful with those off-brand sets. I've been burned before - the tolerances are usually off and they round your fasteners. Stick with trusted names like Craftsman or Proto. Their lifetime warranty is worth the extra $. I've had my Craftsman set for 15 years and they still replace anything that breaks, no questions.

Totally agree with Will on brand loyalty! But honestly, for $50 that's hard to pass up. Maybe get it as a backup set for lighter jobs? I'm all about Snap-on for my daily drivers (nothing beats their precision), but I keep a cheap set in my truck for emergencies. Check if the store has a return policy in case they're terrible.

lol HarborPro... sounds like harbor freight with extra steps. I tried one of their ratchets once and it lasted about a month before the mechanism gave out. If you're doing serious DIY, invest in quality. My Milwaukee wrenches have never let me down - perfect balance and grip. That $50 could go toward one good 1/2" drive wrench that'll last decades.

Thanks for the input everyone! Yeah the brand sketchiness was my main concern too. Might swing by and check the return policy like Sarah said. If they take returns within 90 days, could be worth a shot for my garage set. Will report back if I grab 'em!
